Miss Pooja is a Punjabi singer who has become a sort of sensation in not only Punjab, but also throughout India. Even in locations where Punjabi is not spoken, you can find ‘Bhangara’ songs of Miss Pooja being played. As a matter of fact, she is the largest selling Bhangra artist. She is credited with reviving the tradition of duet Punjabi songs. She also sung with large number of male singers – at least 70 male singers. That is why she has become queen of Punjabi duet songs.


Apart from being a wonderful singer, Miss Pooja is also endowed with amazing beauty. Her eyes are deep and draw attention of guys. She avoids wearing glamorous dresses, but still looks fabulous.

Miss Pooja was born on 4th December, 1980. She was born as Gurinder Kaur Kainth. This name doesn’t suit her when she started her career as a singer and decided to change it to a more convenient name, and hence Miss Pooja as her new identity in the world of music.


Miss Pooja has always wanted to become a singer since her schooling days. That’s why after completing graduation, she decided to do Post Graduation in Music so that she can understand minute details of various form Punjabi music. First she joined a school as a music teacher to make some earning and side by side she was trying to get attention of producers.


In 2006, she debuted her first duet song and since then there is no looking back. In just two years, she had become one of the most sought after female singers of Punjab. The numbers are simply astonishing. Till date, she has released more than 400 music albums and sung around 3500 songs. 


She had also acted in some films, but all of them got flopped. Frustrated, she decided to concentrate only on music.

Miss Pooja got married to Romi Tahli in 2010. Romi is also a well-known personality of Punjab film and music industry. However, the couple decided to keep the marriage secret and only their family and close friends were aware of their union. This secrecy was done to not break the heart of young followers of Miss Pooja. 



Caste of Miss Pooja

Miss Pooja is a dalit/SC. It is quite ironic that a dalit girl has taken Punjab by storm. Her husband Romi Tahli belongs to Lubana community. It is expected that Miss Pooja will fight 2019 Lok Sabha Election from Hoshiyarpur, a reserved constituency for Dalit.
