-         Monika Bhardwaj was recently thrashed by rowdy lawyers at the premise of Tis Hazari Court. She was camping there and trying to douse the charged atmosphere. Suddenly, a group of lawyers attacked her. The entire episode was recorded by a CCTV camera.

-         Male lawyers had obviously also misbehaved with her. It is even more surprising that an officer like Monika who is known for her integrity and ethical policing decided to remain mum. She didn’t file any FIR. She didn’t speak about the incident. Five days after this sordid incident, the CCTV footage was leaked on the social media. 

-         Monika Bhardwaj is the daughter of an SI. Her grandfather was a head constable. Her sisters are also well placed – one is an IRS officer while the other is working with the Indian Railways.

-         Monika Bhardwaj is married to a software engineer.
