Venkat Yadav is a notorious criminal based in Hyderabad. He has been accused in a murder case, along with umpteen cases of extortion, kidnapping and ransom. One call from Venkat is enough to terrify citizens of Hyderabad and adjoining area.


Venkat Yadav was recently arrested under Prevention Detention Act, when some transwomen complained about him. This is considered a draconian act and hence rarely used by law enforcement agencies. Under this act, the accused can be put behind bar for one year without him getting bail. The act negates the idea of – Bail is a Right and Jail should be exception.

Venkat was born as Kurma Venkatesh in Kakalapally village (Anantnag District, A.P.). He is a drop out. He entered in the crime world as Venkat Yadav in 2008 and since then ruling a part of Hyderabad. 

Venkat had taken a unique way of making money in recent times. He had started to target transgender people. The idea was to extort money from them without getting any hostility from local citizen. Complaints from general masses against him dried up. Trans women were finding it tough to make a formal complaint against him. Only recently, a group of transwomen created ruckus at Banjara Hill Police Station and forced the station in charge to take action against Venkat.
