Giriraj Singh: Profile, Family, Daughter

Giriraj Singh is the Minister of State for MSME to the Government of India. He is a hardliner Hindutva BJP leader. He remains in a sort of ‘manufactured’ controversy because of his habit to be straightforward. He is also considered quite close to Narendra Modi. 

It should be noted here that it was none other than Giriraj Singh who had first proposed the name of Narendra Modi for the Prime Ministerial candidate. In fact, at that time people had ridiculed him. When he was serving as a minister of Nitish Kumar government in Bihar, Giriraj had shown rare courage to openly revolt against the hypocrite and coward Nitish.

Profile of Giriraj Singh

Giriraj Singh was born in 1952 in Barahiya village of Luckisarai district. This village is known in Bihar for being strong Congress and BJP supporter. It is considered just opposite of Bihat village of Begusarai. Bihat is a communist center, while Barahiya is a BJP – previously Congress – hub. Both of these villages are Bhumihar dominated. It should be noted here that Kanhaiya Kumar, another Bhumihar, is from Bihat village.
Giriraj Singh did his schooling from the Government run school of Barahiya. His father late Ramvatar Singh is quite a social person who used to take keen interest in social works. It was his father who kindled the flame of politics in the heart of Giriraj Singh.

Giriraj has never been as such deeply interested in RSS activities. He is close to some RSS leaders just because of being with the BJP.

Giriraj was just a BJP worker and some home convinced Bihar leaders to get into the Bihar Legislative Council. When Nitish Kumar became the CM, BJP forwarded the name of Giriraj Singh as a minister to pacify the demand of the Bhumihar community.

Family of Giriraj Singh

Being a Bhumihar, Giriraj Singh never took interest in coming to the public platform with his family members. You will hardly find any credible information about his family on the public domain. Similarly, Giriraj wife is also quite social. She is a home maker and majority of her time passes inside temple.

Giriraj Singh has two daughters. It is said that the life of Giriraj is there in his daughters. Both of his daughters are married and settled in the USA. They have no interest in politics. They are also not visible with Giriraj on any public platform. In fact, they keep it secret even on their Facebook profiles.
